A single filling position for 200 L class aseptic bags in drums. The AF1S is the reference model when one head, one drum station and a straightforward load–fill–close cycle fit your production window.

The AF1S is the single-head model in the AF1 bag-in-drum family. It is intended for aseptic bags in 200 L and 220 L drums, with a filling head that connects to the bag fitment, fills under a protected interface and closes the package before the drum leaves the station.
A single head keeps the machine sequence visible: present the drum, connect and treat the fitment, fill to the target mass, close and inspect, then discharge. That sequence is easy to audit, but the complete cycle — not the filling phase alone — determines the real drum rate.

Where the AF1S fits
Choose the single-head model when the complete drum cycle meets the required production window and a second filling position would not remove a real bottleneck. This is common when product supply, drum presentation or operator attention limits the line before the filler does.
The published maximum of 6 t/h is a catalogue reference for the model family. It is not a promise that every tomato paste, purée or concentrate will run at that rate. Actual output depends on product viscosity and flow, target net mass, fitment bore, pump and valve capacity, and the time taken to load, close and remove each drum.
The AF1 family can be configured with a weighing system or a flow meter. Weighing measures the filled mass and is directly connected to the commercial fill target; it needs a stable platform, a defined tare procedure and enough settling time for the product. Flow-meter control measures product passing the meter and needs a representative density, a stable flow profile and a proven stop sequence.
For high-viscosity paste, the final filling phase and the response of the inlet valve matter more than the nominal meter accuracy. Acceptance should use the actual product, bag and drum, with a defined sample size and a clear net-fill criterion.
The bag neck and cap are working parts of the filling interface. Send the bag supplier, fitment part number, drawing revision and cap geometry. A nominal 1 in or 2 in mouth does not by itself prove that a head, change part and closure sequence are compatible.
The drum must be supported and presented so that the bag neck is not loaded by the filling connection. Plan the roller conveyor, weighing platform, drum stop and discharge route together. Confirm the filled mass and floor loading before fixing the layout.
Product sterilisation is upstream of the filler. The AF1S receives product at the agreed inlet condition and protects the package interface during filling. Steam is used at the filling interface; CIP and SIP are separate operations with separate acceptance criteria.
The catalogue reference utilities are approximately 50 kg/h steam and 0.04 m³/h compressed air at 0.6–0.8 MPa for a single head. Confirm the final demand schedule, connection sizes and quality requirements against the proposed configuration and your site.
Manufacturer photographs show the filling head, drum or container handling and the connected cell. Final configuration, guarding and finish depend on the project.

PRODUCT FIT
Applications to review with this equipment.
Product names are a starting point. Viscosity, particles, temperature and the package interface determine whether a trial is needed.
The published catalogue maximum is up to 6 t/h. Treat it as a reference for the model family. The achievable drum rate depends on your product, net fill, fitment, pump and the complete loading, filling and closing cycle.
Can the AF1S fill 220 L as well as 200 L bags?
The catalogue lists 200 L and 220 L bag sizes for the AF1 family. Confirm the exact bag drawing, fitment and drum geometry, because a change in bag or drum can require different support and change parts.
Is the filler supplied with weighing or flow-meter control?
Both metering approaches are listed for the AF1 family. The choice depends on your fill target, product behaviour, required accuracy and acceptance method. We will confirm the available configuration for your project.
Does the AF1S sterilise the product?
No. Product sterilisation is an upstream process, normally a UHT or other validated thermal treatment. The filler protects the treated product at the bag interface and manages the filling and closing sequence.
Send the product, bag or container, target net mass, output and site conditions. We will confirm the model, scope and evidence needed for the next step.
