High Brix changes the hydraulic duty
Apple juice concentrate is commonly traded at around 70–72 Brix, although the actual specification varies. Density and viscosity at the filling temperature affect pump curves, pressure loss and the time needed for the final fill. Provide the certificate of analysis and the temperature at which the product will be filled. Do not use a water trial to predict the filling time or the meter performance.
Metering a dense product
A Coriolis mass flow meter can measure mass directly and is listed in the catalogue with a ±0.3% reference accuracy. A weighing system measures the filled package and is listed with ±5 g resolution. For concentrate, the choice depends on the fill target, the stability of the supply, the package support and the acceptance method. Confirm the density used by the meter, the stop sequence and the effect of any entrained air.
Aroma, oxygen and temperature
Concentrate quality is sensitive to heat and oxygen. The filler should minimise product exposure and maintain the sterile boundary. Define the inlet temperature and pressure, the holding time and the response to a stop. The upstream sterilization process, the bag barrier and the storage conditions determine shelf life; the filler does not establish it.
Drum or bulk bin
A 200 L drum is common for ingredient shipments; a 1000 L bin reduces packaging labour for larger users. The package choice changes the head reach, weighing range and container movement. Confirm the liner and fitment for the actual concentrate, and check that the filled mass is within the container and floor limits. If the same line fills both, verify the change parts and support for each.

AF1S single-head bag-in-drum filler
A single filling position for 200 L class aseptic bags in drums. The AF1S is the reference model when one head, one drum station and a straightforward load–fill–close cycle fit your production window.
Review the model ↗AF1DAF1D twin-head bag-in-drum filler
Two filling positions for 200 L class aseptic bags. The AF1D is the reference model when drum handling can overlap and the product supply, conveyors and operator access can support two stations.

Frequently asked questions
Can the same filler handle 70 Brix concentrate and clear juice?
The product range must be reviewed as a whole. Density, viscosity, fitment and cleaning can differ. Confirm the limiting condition and test both products if the line will run them.
Is a flow meter accurate for concentrate?
A Coriolis meter can measure mass directly, but the installed accuracy depends on the product, flow profile installation and calibration. The catalogue reference is not a guarantee for your line. Confirm with a representative trial.
What is the typical package for apple concentrate?
Bulk ingredient shipments often use 200 L aseptic drums or 1000 L bins, while smaller food-service packs use bag-in-box. The package should follow the buyer and the distribution chain.
